ABOUT US

ALIVE365 is a for profit, product and service based organization that offers hygiene education through hands-on experience. We use the power of innovation to offer quality and effective hygiene education to children through public and private institutions. We promote a positive behaviour change and hygiene practices among children with an aim of bridging the knowledge gap on proper hygiene and sanitation.

TESTIMONIALS

I met ALIVE365 when they won the Making More Health Venture4Change students competition in Nairobi in 2019 where they developed the basic ideas around the venture of Alive 365. With a simple, but very outstanding and impactful idea on how to make more hygiene happen in slum areas, they won the competition. Soon they founded Alive 365. I am impressed with how they co-created not just with other NGOs, but also directly with the people in the slums, with children and teachers, but also the whole community. They have been very keen on networking with others who engage in the same area, on integrating and supporting also Making More Health activities in their own activities. The challenges of people living at the poverty line are complex and interlinked. It is just together that we can get the world going. We as Making More health are very proud of Alive 365 and happy to co-create with them also in the future.

IMPACT

Year 1

We onboarded 15 primary schools Mukuru in informal settlements in Kenya, Nairobi city. This translated into 1500 primary school-going children in informal settlements who were impacted with practical hand-washing knowledge and skills through our methods of hygiene education and training. We also created at least 7 hygiene clubs in the primary schools that would advocate for proper hygiene practices in the school.

Year 2

Increased school attendance by 70% due to the reduction of hygiene-related diseases by 35% in the mukuru informal settlement in Nairobi, Kenya. We onboarded 2 new primary schools in our program outside the informal settlements.

An increased number of Hygiene champions by 2% in the hygiene clubs who want to champion proper hygiene and sanitation.
